North Carolina has 3 regions; the Mountains, Piedmont, and the Coast, and motorcoach resorts are spread throughout the state. They have also\npartnered with their 5 star neighbor at the Rumbling Bald Resort to use their\nfacilities and golf courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 828-361-4517<\/a> River\u2019s Edge promotes itself as being Big Rig Friendly\nhaving been designed by Big Rig owners and with sites that start at 50×125\nfeet, we would not disagree. They are not Class A only, but they get great\nreviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Rutledge Lake RV Resort<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 828-654-7873<\/a> Rutledge Lake RV Resort is also Big Rig friendly and has\nlakeside sites. Their site says they can accommodate up to a 40\u2019 RV, but when I\ncalled them they said that they could actually handle larger 45\u2019+ RVs. This\nresort is not a Class A only RV park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you enjoy waterfront RV sites, you might enjoy a trip to the Florida Keys where there are over 23 RV Parks<\/a>. Not all can accommodate Big Rigs, but all are waterfront!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Great Outdoors RV Resort<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 828-349-0412<\/a> Don\u2019t confuse this one with the RV park in Florida that has\na similar name, they offer premium mountain top sites. This is not a Class A\nonly resort, but they also get great reviews and actively encourage and cater\nto RV rally groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mama Gertie’s Hideaway Campground<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 877-686-4258<\/a> Not a Class A only resort, but it gets great reviews is Mama\nGertie\u2019s located in the Foothills. There are premium mountaintop sites\navailable April 1st<\/sup> \u2013 October 31st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Note that I excluded any parks that\ncould not easily accommodate the size and access needed for Big Rigs and any of\nthose with 55+ age restrictions<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Central Piedmont Region of North Carolina offers wineries, breweries and over 40 world-class golf courses in a 15-mile radius. This area is also home to Lake Norman, North Carolina\u2019s \u201cInland Sea\u201d which, with 520 miles of shoreline, is the largest man-made lake in the state. Take some time to enjoy some boating and you might even catch a glimpse of Normie, the Lake Norman Sea Monster!<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you are a golfer, plan on playing a round at the famous\nNo. 2 course at the legendary Pinehurst Resort near Fayetteville. With nine\ncourses to choose from even the most skilled golfer in your group will find a\nchallenge!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Fayetteville RV Resort<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 910-484-5500<\/a> Not a Class A only resort, but it gets excellent reviews and\nappears to be very well maintained. It\u2019s conveniently located right off of\nI-95, so if you are headed south and looking for a stopover RV Park, this one\nmay for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lake Norman Motor Coach Resort<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 704-489-6033<\/a> Located on Lake Norman as the name implies, this resort\nfocuses on all of the water activities that the lake has to offer. In addition\nto RV sites, they also have tiny homes and lakefront cabins on the property.\nThis is not a Class A only resort<\/p>\n\n\n\n Note that I excluded any parks that\ncould not easily accommodate the size and access needed for Big Rigs and any of\nthose with 55+ age restrictions<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Do you love playing golf? You should treat yourself to an RV trip to Florida and a visit to one of the 19 Luxury RV Resorts<\/a>! <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The North Carolina Coast has 300 miles of barrier-island beaches,\nfrom fishing and seafood to barbecue and beer, there is something for everyone\nhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Visit the seven coastal lighthouses, take a guided tour to see the wild horses that roam free on the Crystal Coast or hand-feed flamingos at Sylvan Heights Bird Park<\/a>! I researched them and came\nup with two that are highly rated and offer easy beach access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n These two RV Resorts can accommodate Class A RVs. One is oceanfront on one side, to sound front on the other side, and the other is right on the beach! Note that there is no shade at these parks, but plenty of beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Camp Hatteras<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n 252-987-2777<\/a> Camp Hatteras is a family-oriented park that is located on Hatteras Island and has the Pamlico Sound on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other! If you want to be close to the water, this may be a park for you.
